You are in control
Membership is free. You choose what to put on your profile, how you sign in, and — where it is offered — the language you read in. Guests can still use many public pages.
A few minutes to join, then you decide the rest
We ask for an email and a little about you so we can point you to the right groups. That is not a test. You can change it later. You can also sign in with a link sent to your inbox, so you do not have to remember another password if you would rather not.

Need a hand?
If something on the site is not working, or you are not sure whether a group is for you, send a note. We would rather you ask than bounce off the front door.

Who sees my answers to a survey?
The team running that piece of work, usually as grouped findings. Anonymous surveys never attach your name. Panel surveys need an account so we can invite you back, but your personal details are kept separate from what you said wherever we can.
Can I leave?
Yes. You can leave a group, close notifications, or ask for your account to be removed. Taking part is voluntary. Stopping is too.
What if I see something that is not okay?
Report it. Every post and comment has a way to flag it. Groups can also ask people to accept a code of conduct before they join. We would rather hear early than let a room go sour.
How do I get help?
Use the contact on this page, or Technical support in the footer. For “how do I take part in this survey?”, the project page itself is usually the fastest answer.
