What you can do here
As much or as little as suits you. This community is for people who want better health and care — patients, carers, staff, researchers, and anyone who is simply curious.
A community, not a mailing list
You can browse as a guest, or join for free and take part. There is no right way to start. Some people come for one survey. Others find a group and stay.
The pages below explain what is here, in plain language. Each one points you to a real place on the site where you can try it.

A few quick questions
Do I have to join a group?
No. You can read public pages, fill some surveys, and look around first. Groups are there when you want a smaller room with people who share your interest.
Is this only for NHS staff?
Not at all. Patients, carers, researchers, charities, local authority colleagues, and people who simply care about health and care are all welcome. Different groups attract different people — that is the point.
Will you sell my details?
No. You choose what to put on your profile. Survey answers are used to improve services and research, not to market to you. Read Join, privacy and language for the detail.
Who looks after all this?
People with admin rights. Run the community explains permissions, joining, profile fields and two-step sign-in. Governance covers moderation, UK data protection, and where data is hosted. If you want a community of your own, start with How we work with you.
Can we have a community like this of our own?
Yes. How we work with you explains how we configure a community with you, from first conversation to launch. You stay in control; we do the heavy lifting behind the scenes.
